I NEED HELP WITH GUPPIES, AFRICAN DWARF FROGS AND GHOST SHRIMP!?
ok so yesterday i FINNALY bought 2 female guppies, 1 is pregnant i think it will give birth in a week or so. and 2 african dwarf frogs and 2 ghost shrimp. i already had 1 male guppy and 1 african dwarf guppies.
so this is what i have in my eclipse system 6:
**3 guppies, 1 male and 2 female. 1 is slightly pregnant
**3 african dwarf frogs. i think 1 is sick and i will ask about them below
**2 ghost shrimp, they were alot bigger than i planned and 1 is like an inch and half! the other is 1 inch
ok so now i have few questions about my animals and my tank itself.
QUESTIONS:
1. when i got my water checked yesterday they said i had pretty good water but the "aclomarie" or something with an "acl" is KIND of high, but they said it was normal cause my tank hasnt even been up and running for a week. and they said it was going to even out in a few days. is this harnful for any of my animals?
2. ok so yesterday i bought 2 african DWARF frogs. and i have a question about these little guys, all 3 of them have a little white "mark" on the tip of their "snout" or nose or whatever. is this normal? and on 1 of my new frogs, underneath his mouth or whatever. there is like a black growth or mark. not exactly sure but its like brownish/blackish. i think my other new frog has it too. not sure but my old frog doesnt have it. and is it contagious? and on the frog that absolutly has the mark or growth o whatever also has like 2-3 little "specks" on his back. i dont know if its ich cause there is like 2-3 TINY specks on his lower back. each little speck is on a bump on his back is doesnt actually match his coloration sooo..?
3. i have 2 ghost shrimp. and one is an inch and a half. and the other is an inch. with they fight with my frogs? they dont seem to bother anyone but im still woriried. and is it normal for them to have ridiculously long "antennas"? its as long as the size of their body but longer!!!!??? and my bigger one has a tiny bit of pink in his legs and tail but its hadly noticable
4. when do you think my already pregnant guppy will give birth? i bought the pregnant one on pupose. its not totally fat. but it is obvious that it is pregnant. you can see black/red in her tummy. its like slightly popping out. but she isnt as pregnant as the other fishes were back in the store. but it is fat but not "OMG SHE IS HUMOUNGUS!!!" i planned a week what about you?
5. do you think my ghost shrimp will be able to catch the baby fry? i noticed they have TINY little pinchers and they dig around in the gravel fo food. and will the african dwarf frogs be able to catch the fry? 2 are medium sized and 1 in medium/small (my frogs sizes). and will the guppies eat the fry? this is why im breeding them, so they will all get a meal out of the fry. and if some DO survive i cant possible keep them so how will i get rid of them? can i just post up flyers saying "BABY GUPPY FRY! FEEDER FISH! PLEASE CONTACT (MY NUMBER)" and some other info. or will i get arrested my the cops? and i dont want people to come in my house soo.? and depending on their age i will either sell them as pet guppies OR as feeder fish or whatever. is this idea ok?
6. when should i first do my 25% water change? i have a gravel vacuum. and should i remove my frogs and shrimp just incase i dont smush them with gravel or something? and when i do my water change do i remove the decor and my plastic plants or dont remove anything? and if i do remove them then where do i move them too? and how do i make sure the water isnt too different?
7. ever since i got my new frogs and stuff my "old" frog hasnt been moving around at night. and my new frogs just sit there. yesterday night i was looking at them and they havent moved a bit since morningthey were in the same place and everything!!! im so worried! and my "old" frog is very pale compared to my new frogs. why is this? he is dull compared to my other frogs. WHY?
8. any other help would be great!!!!!!
