He tells Porter about some Asian couriers who carry $300,000, Porter agrees to it on the condition that they split the take. When they hit them, they discover that they only have $140,000, and Resnick says that, that’s what they always carry. He pulls out a gun and shoots Porter in the back and leaves him to die. However, Porter manages to make it to a doctor, and get treated, when he recovers, he sets out to get Resnick and his share $70,000. He begins by approaching an associate of Resnick’s. Porter then seeks out a prostitute named Rosie, whom he knew, she tells him where he can find Resnick, when he does he tells Resnick that he should go to his employers and ask them to give him back $70,000 of the money he gave them, Resnick says that’s impossible but Porter “convinces” him to do it. Resnick then goes to his boss, Mr. Carter, who tells him that it’s in their best interest to help Resnick deal with Porter. Carter orders one of his men to take Porter out but Porter’s just too good for them. Resnick then asks his girlfriend who knows the people whom he and Porter stole the money from, and tells her to tell them where they can find him. When they do they are interrupted by two policemen, but they are crooked who are under the impression that Porter’s going after $200,000-300,000 and are going to get it. Can Porter deal with all these people and still get his money.

I don't get it, Why do we support Israel?
I know they killid Americans when they fired on our ship (1967). Any country willing to spill the blood of American servicemen should first on the payback list. Aid & Security to them? I don’t think so.
The U.S.S. Liberty
Israel stabalizes the middle east, so of course we support them (joking).
Edit: On second thought. Jews have a lot of power in the United States. It would political suicide for someone like Obama to side with the Palestinians.

They are fighting for their survival, and their cause is just. Also, they are an ally and a Democracy, in a region where the U.S. needs an ally.
yutsnark | Nov 23, 2009
Israel is our only ally in the Middle East. Not to mention the Christian nation that we are believes that Israel has the right to Jerusalem, not Palestine.
kolton | Nov 23, 2009
… because they are one of the FEW democracies and allies of ours in the Middle East. It’s late, and I’m not recalling the 1967 ship you’re talking about. Unless it was an accident, hmmm, yeah, that’s not good!
Elle | Nov 23, 2009
Why not?..They are after all the only Democracy in that region.
romack45 | Nov 23, 2009
we support Israel because were actually very dependent on Israeli companies for contracts. lobbyist and local support here in america aka jewish people here who rally for Israel and there Israeli pro Representatives into office.

The U.S.S. Liberty incident was a result of friendly fire. That’s what happens in war; you don’t need to make up conspiracy theories. The captain of the ship himself made mistakes which led to it.

As in militarily? or humanity?
Israel is not a bad country. They mainly are filled with Jewish and Judea-Christians, and a few Muslims. That is a pretty holy mix.
They are not bad people. As in militarily, why do we get involved with anything overseas…. religion.

It’s a calling of the highest order, written in Blood. You either believe in it, or you don’t. The majority of Americans still do.
Jerry O | Nov 23, 2009
The firing on the SS Liberty was our fault. The ship was an AGI which is a designation for an intellegence gathering or spy ship that is meant to look like a trawler. Once the IFF (identification friend or foe) was determined the attack was halted. So learn the ways of maritime law before citing examples you do not understand.
Bev | Nov 23, 2009
We support Israel first because we need them more than they need us. Second because we believe them to have the right away to the land. third because they are a holy land to the Christians.
They are kind of the only country in the middle East that hasn’t been known to want to blow us up (recently), and the only country which we consider ’stable’ because we are able to work with them, and if we’re being honest because they are not majority Muslim.
We need their ground, their air space, and if we’re being honest we may someday need the nuclear weapons we’re all pretending they might not have.
You have to look at the much bigger picture and realize that Israel has to survive for our own well being.
We are not untouchable, our allies remain our biggest asset, especially in a dwindling economy and with two very draining wars spreading our military thin.

We support Britain and they killed 25,000 American (1755)

Because Israel doesn’t threaten to wipe off the map certain nations. They only want to protect their people from evil like we do, and how most our allies do. Iran, Palestinian dictators- threaten bombing- and do bomb Israeli’s all the time- they are only defending their people and have to attack back! We don’t want to be on the bad guys side- or PANDER to the bad guys like Obama is doing – its NUTS! They will still HATE US! We are not a Muslim country!
Is Obama A Marxist | Nov 23, 2009
We haven’t supported Israel since Regan was president, As for the 1967 attack it was a friendly fire incident, during a time of war, for which Israel paid out 12.8 million for damages to the ship and compensation to the families of the dead and wounded.
jeradde | Nov 23, 2009
Israel is the best friend that we have in the Middle East and is the most reliable.
The incident that you talk about occurred over 40 years ago in 1967 and was an accident because the ship was misidentified as an Egyptian ship which was an enemy combatant at the time. Israel did not intentionally fire on a United States ship.

So does that mean, you think we should cut ties with:
Britain
Canada
France
Spain
Germany
Mexico
China
Japan
Vietnam
Palestinians
Most of the arab nations ( they mainly fought for the german in WW ll )
Some how, I don’t think you wanna go that far.
jeeper_peeper321 | Nov 23, 2009
Neither you nor I will ever know because the USA covered it up. The Liberty was patched up and used for a cargo ship and scuttled a few years later.
You must be a youngster.
Now, ask yourself if you hate Israel when their Pilots fly over Iran and take out their nuclear missile option.
Don’t forget that our Wimp in Chief wants to ‘talk’ with Iran with no restrictions.
Israel is our greatest block from Middle Eastern Nukes from reaching the USA.
That is why we support Israel.
Get it? Good!
MIKE HAWK | Nov 23, 2009
Most of the arab nations ( they mainly fought for the german in WW ll )
No they didn’t. Allied forces occupied much of the area.
