college qb with the brightest nfl future?

premiere college qbs such as matt stafford, pat white, mark sanchez, rudy carpenter, sam bradford, chase daniel, todd reesing, colton mccoy, graham harrell, darryl clark, todd boeckman, terrell pryor, tim tebow, john parker wilson, casey dick, drew weatherford, juice williams, joe gatz, mike teel, zac robinson, mike hall, nate davis, jeremiah masoli, lyle moevao, willie tuitama, nate longshore, tommy beecher, jimmy clausen, kellen moore

Mark Sanchez is one of the few Qb’s that can make all the throws that a NFL QB needs to make. But it is leadership quality that will ultimately make him an outstanding NFL QB.

D with R | Dec 15, 2008

Mark Sanchez he will develop his game and half those QB’s suck like Weatherford? He doesn’t even start. Also most of them won’t even make the pros and Carpenter is a poor mans college version of Matt Leinart and is crap. Also Juice Williams got owned by Rey Maualuga and is not a good QB. Wow really Nate Davis huh. He sucks against inferior competition to what the other QB’s face and it looks like he lobs the ball and I’ve seen him and he would be lucky to get a roster spot. Also brightest NFL future is Matt Stafford who is a projected #1 pick because he plays a pro style offense and has looked good against some first round defensive prospects. Bradford I don’t think will pan out well as the defenses in the NFL are not watered down like the Big 12. Whoever says Nate Davis will pan out does not know their football.
Ironpump | Dec 15, 2008

Nate Davis
Before you laugh at me because he is from the MAC… Ben Roethlisberger was from the MAC. He has excellent scrambling ability,
can throw the ball in all types of weather. He is a mature play caller and decision maker. Nate has great fundamentals as well.

Since he is from a weaker conference his O line tends to be lacking so NFL scouts can see how he reacts to faster teams or the pocket breaking down.

I could go on all night about this but realistically nobody can predict the future.

P.S. Tebow is not an NFL style QB. The key word is STYLE not NFL caliber, he is REALLY good but his style doesn’t translate to the losing weaker team in the NFL he will be drafted onto because of his he draft status.
NCAAF Fan | Dec 15, 2008

Those that play a pro style offense in college have a better chance in the pros. Option QB’s rarely make it. Some might be converted to another position.
Dan H | Dec 15, 2008

stafford and bradford are the only 2 projected to go in the first round, qbs like pat white, terrell pryor, tebow won’t really work, and all the others just suck (mccoy is staying in ncaa this year). sorry i didn’t see sanchez up there, he hasn’t been all that impressive in the national spotlight, i hardly ever hear of him over here in florida. i think out of those bradford will be the most successful
erratic | Dec 15, 2008

its impossible to predict
grecky | Dec 15, 2008

Stafford is probably the best for the NFL (enjoy the Lions). McCoy, Harrell, and Bradford still have some fine-tuning to do and will probably spend some time on a bench. Tebow will spend another year with the Gators if he’s smart. The rest are relatively unknown and won’t get drafted or spend their career on a bench.
natesando | Dec 15, 2008

I think Bradford has the brightest future IF he’s on a team with a good offensive line and has good wide receivers. He is like Brady because if Brady has that line protecting him, then he can nitpick a defense but if not, then he’s not mobile enough to get out of trouble. I also think Tebow will be a good NFL quarterback as will McCoy. I think Matt Stafford is WAY OVERRATED. I think he has a good arm but his decision making frightens me.
8 mile | Dec 15, 2008

Colt McCoy!
Titans will lose to the Steelers | Dec 15, 2008

Sam Bradford
lurker34 | Dec 15, 2008

Everyone on that list is okay except for Rudy Carpenter. He is a cocky bit** and is a terrible Quarterback. He won’t go anywhere in life. Ill probably see him laying on the sidewalk 10 or 20 years down the road begging for money. In which case i won’t give him any. Just a piss poor role model and someone who thinks that they are hot sh**.

‘Dolly’ is hello call to elf days’ memories

31.10.09

I mostly stood in the background looking like I was working in Santa’s workshop. At one point, I and a few other elves broke into the twist during a particularly peppy song.

I had one line, which I don’t remember. Come to think of it, I don’t think I remembered it then either. It seems like I blanked, and the elf standing next to me had to remind me what to say.

I went to a small school. When I was still in elementary school, I can remember the high school students doing some plays and musicals that my classes went to see. By the time I reached high school, though, we didn’t have them anymore.

I played in my school’s band, sang in some choirs and was involved in lots of other activities, but there’s just something different about putting on a show.

Seeing Norman High School’s production of "Hello, Dolly!” this week made me realize what I missed.

As I sat there watching, I couldn’t help but smile. It was a real mood lifter. You could tell all the hard work the students had put in to make it a quality production. It was hard to believe they were only in high school.

I talked to some of the student actors after the show, and the looks on their faces said it all. They’d had the time of their lives on that stage.

One of the leads, Michael Denney , told me the group had really bonded through the experience. They’d become a team, like family.

Performances continue at 7 p.m. today and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at The Nancy O’Brian Center for the Performing Arts , 1809 Stubbeman Ave. Tickets are $8 and $10.

Does Payless shoes require you to wear a uniform?

Or can you wear your own clothes? I may be getting a job there soon.

You don’t have a uniform exactly, but there is a dress code.

Clubwear is likely not appropriate attire for instance, nor is a nuns habit.

wear a red mini skirt, a red tank top and high heel boots or stilletos. You would be a hot devil. If you go to a nurse’s store, you can buy a nurse’s outfit and go as a nurse. Or maybe, you could go and buy a small witches outfit and go as a witch. or a catholic school girl. The options are endless.

You or your BF could be "Done". You need a piece of foam or Styrofoam – Put it under shirt and stick a fork in it over shirt.
You are Done.
Kay | Oct 27, 2007

TOGA-brown or white sheets wrapped or draped across your bodies and just buy a tiara and decorate with green construction paper (for leaves). Adam & Eve-buy green felt and cut out leaves to cover your private areas and both wear black clothing or whatever color is closest to your skin tone. Cleopatra and a pharoah-a white sheet draped as a dress and a big black belt, same thing as the toga theme for him, pretty much. Go Go dancers are really cute or dress like the characters in Austin Powers movies-go to the Salvation Army or Goodwill.

Ahoy! Here’s a link to an article I wrote online about a simple pirate costume for adults:

Of course, cowboys and cowgirls are always easy outfits to put together, if you have denims (jeans and jackets) and a bandanna or two. Add a chambray, plaid, or flannel shirt . . . you’re ready to two-step to the costume party! Yee-haw!

You could wear a blue dress with devil ears and go as ‘a devil in a blue dress’. You could wear a priest costumer with a big hanging clock (flavor flav) and go as father time. You could buy some old vintage clothing (salvation army) and handcuffs and go as retired porn stars from the 70’s (okay so maybe thats a stretch). That’s all I got on low budget.

With all of the gang member problems in the US, should we consider making an off shore island a prison?

I know this is a simplistic plan, but could the US "deport" convicted gang members to off shore oblivion?
Sort of like the British did with Australia?

San Clemente island in California is large. Are there larger islands on the East coast that could be converted to this purpose?
Just a thought.
Steven C – Why

Just from my side here, as long as the prison follows all normal rules and has everything a normal prison should have, there are no cruel and unusual punishment clauses that a convict could cite.

Just in case you dont remember…..Did you ever hear of the prison called Alcatraz?

But I do know what you are calling for. Botany Bay in Australia was just what you described. Toss them off the ship and either starve or survive. A lovely thought, but in today’s enlightened society, it would never fly. Personally, I would vote for it though.

Nightrider | Feb 27, 2008

It would never work. Too much money involved and that thing we call the constitution.
steven c | Feb 26, 2008

You are forgetting that prisoners have rights. They can claim cruel and unusual punishment.
Dave W | Feb 26, 2008

Your country is already in contempt of human life. A waste of space.
constapato 2 | Feb 26, 2008

If the British prisoners ended up Australian, I fear what the American prisoners would end up as.
Roger F | Feb 26, 2008

Instead of more prisons of any type I would be more in favor of installing electric benchs instead of chairs.
Michigan Cop | Feb 26, 2008

Steven got it right.

Dave W, convicts only have one right left and you already mentioned it.

Is it appropriate to let my friends do this?

I’m 8 months pregnant and able to lactate. A lot of my friends told me their curious about my boobs. I decided to let a few of my best friends (girls only!) play with my boobs and milk them. Is this wrong?

I’ve read that nipple stimulation far along in pregnancy can trigger labor, so be careful!

Ellen | Oct 27, 2009

Yeah, you may not want to let them do that, best friends or not, that’s a bit indecent.
Uninspired Photographer | Oct 27, 2009

Uhhh…that’s kinda gross…

But as long as everyone involved is comfortable with it, then do what you want.
BarBQFritosOMG | Oct 27, 2009

uh… ew, that is kindda wrong

Is it ok to use fragmented sentences in your resume?

I’m getting mixed reviews. Some things I have read said not to use "I" and some say fragmented sentences are not ok so how do you write without doing either? In my profile (objective) The third sentence says "Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook." Is this acceptable?

it’s fine but i would list them in a separate section "special skills"
Murzy | Oct 27, 2009

I wouldnt, it sounds like your’e advertising a used car or a dog. Use more personal language.
Neo-Queen Madeline Of the Sun | Oct 27, 2009

That statement is fine, but belongs in your "special skills" section. Your objective should be no more than one or two sentences long:

"Objective: To obtain a position as a blank"

or "To obtain a position where I can use my skills in blank."

Hope that helps. :) Good luck with your search!
HyppieGirl | Oct 27, 2009

Yes this is acceptable, in fact perfect. From the employers stand point they are going to get many resumes and by the way you stated what you are proficient in is to the point with no filler. Which makes it easier to read through and more memorable.

Would you take your cat back, after a 9 year hiatus?

Lost Cat Returned Home After Nine Years

LONDON (Reuters) – A couple have been reunited with their missing cat after nine years, the RSPCA said Wednesday.

Dixie, a 15-year-old ginger cat, disappeared in 1999 and her owners thought she had been killed by a car.

She was found less than half a mile from her home in Birmingham after a concerned resident rang the animal charity to report a thin and disheveled cat who had been in the area for a couple of months.

RSPCA Animal Collection Officer Alan Pittaway checked her microchip and confirmed it was Dixie. She was returned to her owners, Alan and Gilly Delaney, within half an hour.

"In 29 years of working for the RSPCA I have never seen anyone so excited and happy as Mrs Delaney," Pittaway said. "It made my day to return Dixie to her owners."

The couple were "overjoyed" to be reunited with their missing cat after so many years.

"Dixie’s personality, behavior and little mannerisms have not changed at all," said Gilly Delaney. "We don’t think she has stopped purring since she came back through the door."

The RSPCA hope the story will encourage owners to have their pets microchipped.

I sure would. That was a great story.

she was less than half a mile from home? wtf? did these people even bother to look for her?

and yes i would happily take my cat back after nine years-if it was infact my cat.
Jamie | Sep 12, 2008

i would not because they could have gotten a daises or worse
mersaidees c | Sep 12, 2008

Very, very sweet story! I would have been overjoyed myself. Just think about how long they worried and wondered about their pet, and one day out of the blue they get this call. Very nice!
ryssee | Sep 12, 2008

Definitely I will. I’, just wondering, how old was she, when she was found, 24 years?
agnemir | Sep 12, 2008

Only if the cat was considered a stray.
I’d hate to take away a pet someone cares about, even if it was mine in the beginning.

hell yea I love my babies I would be overjoyed

this is why I am trying to find a place to microchip my cat and dog. I can tell you the name of every animal I have ever owned and lost because they managed to lose (i think) their collar or tag. yes, it is a happy ending.
